Paperwork help for small Iowa trucking companies
WeLynk LLC is a private company, not the government. I help small carriers with driver files and yearly paperwork.
Start with the free year-end paperwork check.
I return calls and emails by the next day.
Who you'll deal with
I'm Omar Walweel. I own WeLynk LLC and work out of Cedar Rapids. I check your paperwork line by line against the written federal rules, and I tell you plainly what I find, including when you don't need me.
I started offering this help in 2026. You pay only at the end: the $35 after your UCR confirmation is on screen, the $250 at the end of the review. So the risk is mine, not yours.

There's no storefront. I come to you, or we talk by phone.
If I called you, I found your number on your public FMCSA record. Tell me once and I'll stop.
Services and prices
Year-End Paperwork Check
Free
About 10 minutes, by phone or in person, nothing to sign. We look at two things:
- What your public FMCSA record (SAFER) shows.
- Whether your 2027 UCR shows as filed.
Anything after that is up to you.
Driver File Audit
$250 service fee
We go through your driver files and drug and alcohol paperwork together, in person wherever you keep them, or somewhere in town if you'd rather.
Full refund if you ask within 14 days after you get your report.
2027 UCR help
$35 service fee
You file 2027 UCR on your own account, with your own card. I stay with you, explain each screen, and make sure you're on the real ucr.gov, not a lookalike.
- Your UCR fee goes to UCR, never to me. You can also file at www.ucr.gov without me and pay only that fee.
- I take my $35 only after your confirmation is on the screen.
- Full refund if you ask within 30 days.
- The $35 counts toward a Driver File Audit booked within 30 days.
One thing I say whenever UCR comes up:
WeLynk is not affiliated with the Unified Carrier Registration Plan. WeLynk is a private company that provides a private registration service for an additional fee. You are not required to use WeLynk to register with the UCR Plan. You may register directly with the UCR Plan at www.ucr.gov.
How 2027 UCR help works
- We pick a way: a phone call while you use your own computer or phone, a video call, or in person at your shop or a public place.
- You sign in to your own ucr.gov account. I never see your password.
- You fill it in and pay the UCR fee with your own card. Screen sharing is up to you. On video I can't click or type, and you stop sharing for the card.
- Then you pay my $35 by a card link I email you, or cash or a check in person, and get a receipt.
| Vehicles | UCR fee |
|---|---|
| 0 to 2 | $55 |
| 3 to 5 | $167 |
| 6 to 20 | $333 |
| 21 to 100 | $1,163 |

Nothing renews. Each price is a one-time service fee.
How the Driver File Audit works
Every audit follows one written checklist, built item by item from 49 CFR Part 391 (driver files, including the list in 391.51) and Part 382 (drug and alcohol testing). FMCSA's safety audit for new carriers looks at both areas, among others (49 CFR 385.311).
The full checklist has 29 items. The main ones, for each driver:
- A signed job application.
- Driving records from hiring and every 12 months, and a note of each yearly review.
- Previous employers' safety history for the past 3 years, or a note of your good-faith effort to get it.
- A road test certificate, or the license you accepted instead.
- The medical card, or for CDL drivers, the state record showing medical status.
- For CDL drivers: a pre-employment drug test result and Clearinghouse queries, on file.
You get a written report, item by item: what's in the file, what's missing, and what's out of date.
Federal rules keep drug and alcohol test records private between you and your drivers (49 CFR 382.405), so I never see them. For those items you check each one on my list and tell me "on file" or "not on file." You still get the full list, what's missing, and the written report.
- My notes list drivers by number, never by name.
- It's information, not legal advice, and I can't promise how any safety audit goes.
- Up to 90 minutes for 1 to 5 drivers, about 2 hours for 6 to 10, longer for bigger fleets.
What I'll never do
- Ask for your passwords, Login.gov sign-in, Social Security number or card number.
- Log in to your accounts or control your computer.
- Take copies or photos of your driver files.
- Send you scary letters or rush you.
- Text you out of the blue or call you with a recording.
Common questions
Are you with DOT or FMCSA?
No. WeLynk LLC is a private company, not the government. I'm not the U.S. Department of Transportation, FMCSA, or the UCR Plan.
I already use software or a consultant. Why would I need you?
You may not. It's an independent check by someone who didn't set up your files. If that isn't worth $250 to you, skip it.
Payments and refunds
